Born and raised in working class Paris in the 1970's, Karim Madani has been immersed in the love of cinema, comics, jazz, soul music, funk and film soundtracks since he was a child. Freelance journalist for prestigious magazines specialized in urban cultures. (Vice, les Inrocks), he is also ghostwriter for artists, editor of bios for journalists and collaborates with labels like Universal Sony or Capitol.

Katharine Smyth is a writer based in Brooklyn, NY. Her essays and articles have appeared The Paris Review, Elle, The New York Times, Literary Hub, The Point, DuJour, Poets & Writers and Dominoamong other publications. Her first book, All the Lives We Ever Lived: Seeking Solace in Virginia Woolf, was published by Crown in 2019 and named a New York Times Book Review Editors’ Choice.

My name is Laura, I'm 28 years old and I'm a freelance journalist in the audio industry. I think life sounds better through headphones, don't you? With an English mother and a Bulgarian father, I have always been interested in issues of community and identity. Since I graduated from the Ecole supérieure de journalisme in Lille, I have collaborated with several radio stations (RMC, Europe 1, Radio Classique...) and I work for the podcast Transfert (produced by Slate). But at the end of 2021, I I went to Dublin to be the Irish correspondent for several French-speaking media (RFI, Radio France, RTBF, RTS and more).

Arriving in Lebanon in 2011 almost by accident, my mind has never left since. I like to dissect the complexity of this country and then tell it through human stories. I am a freelance journalist and I write on subjects other than Lebanon, such as public policy and disability.

Lina Benayada
Lina Benayada was born in France. They studied in preparatory classes before entering the master's program in creative writing at Paris 8. To make a living, they work with ceramics.
Lola Bertet
Born in Paris in 1993, Lola developed a passion for stories early on. After her studies in theatre focused on dramaturgy, she discovered the world of podcasts. She launched her first one in 2016, titled "Dans la Loge" ["Backstage"], a series of interviews with female performers. She received training at Radio Campus Paris, Longueurs d'Ondes before going back to university to complete a master's degree in Journalism. In 2020, she self-produced a podcast called "Déplacement(s)" ["Shifting"]: life trajectories turned upside down consequently to the Covid-19 crisis.
